Christians Have Joyful Adventurous Lives

Life for a Christian can be very exciting because they don't need to worry about the fear of death anymore. Most Christians already know that their old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in their lives.

"We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ, we were set free from the power of sin. And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him. We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power of him. When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. So you also should consider yourselves to be dead from the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus." (Romans 6:6b-11 NLTV)

Our Christian faith is based off of Jesus being raised from the dead. Any daring and brave non-believer who pursued the path of disproving this belief has failed. Former atheists such as Josh McDowell and Lee Strobel were absolute opponents who are now serving God. In addition, Paul in the Holy Scriptures used to terrorize and murder Christians with a religious zeal that closely matches with the modern-day extremists' enmity towards Americans. The kingdom of God has even grown with the addition of former Jihad Islamists- the most likely and greatest opponents with Christianity. Now just think, how the fear of death with great guilt under our belt was a great burden for all of us. Charles Spurgeon wrote "What was said at our Lord's birth was also declared in His death. When the soldier pierced His side, blood and water came out to set forth the double cleansing by which we are delivered from the guilt and the defilement of sin." (All Of Grace, "Deliverance from Sinning").

Without the worry of fearing death anymore, we are free to care for others and to enjoy a wonderful fellowship with God. Lives of new believers will gradually change by their experiencing a new vigor. Even though in some cases it's possible, we can't always expect to have instantaneous growth in faith. As our walk in the Lord comes through reading his Word, praying, and following His commands, we come to experience the joys of God's promises:

"A new heart will I also give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and I will give you an heart of flesh." (Ezekeial 36:26).

It is important to note that we are to work on being people of light:
"So live as people of light. For this light within you produces what is only good and true and right." (Ephesians 5:8b-9)
