What did I do right today?

Right now, my heart is feeling very open-minded about being in love with a close female friend. I really do happily accept everything about her, and she's the first person who I admitted this to. It just makes me feel a lot happier to have this form of acceptance with mindfulness. She's moving out of state so I will be seeing her less often but we are more than likely going to visit each other. She is a very special connection that I developed over the years. We're both so different but able to get along so well. It is just amazing how she's the first person who admitted her struggles and wanted to work out things that were bugging her with me, while being patient because there were multiple incidents where I couldn't comprehend her. With the last time, she was still all over the place but fortunately, I was finally able to piece it together.

From knowing her personality, she's pretty much attached to me so she would have stressed out even more and still not cut ties with me if I didn't hear her out enough but I'm willing to always comply or meet her close enough in the middle. I believe that she is so deserving of this from me. It helps to know that I really do have boundaries myself, which took me a while to self-acknowledge after not knowing why a few people who stopped being friends with me were still making me feel so angry whenever I was reminded of them.

Once I came to this realization on my own, I was able to accept that my boundaries were overstepped by them and then move on right away with a blank page. It's easier for me than most people to do this. I feel a lot more freedom and can even respect their selfish wishes that might still feel a little disrespectful to me without holding any grudges on them. I just need to communicate with them to find out what they are desiring with the outcome of our working relationships. It's pretty healthy for me to be willing to honor and be able to laugh at their more bad character compared to mine.
