Scratching Sabbath Day

I think having a relationship with God is plenty wonderful. It always doesn't appear that way to us, sometimes. Living in a fast paced world, the Lord decrees His believers to worship and rest on a day set aside for Him. The provision that Jesus provides for us should not be neglected because that time of fellowship with him will refresh our souls.

What's a blessing is that God placed His Son on this world to tell all the religious folk back in those days to renounce their shallow religion. He did this by objecting to the way they practiced the Sabbath Day, which was passed on from God's first generation to the next. It can appear to be a contradiction in that very knowledgable people of the Old Testament told Jesus, who was claiming to be the Son of Man, he was violating the Law of Moses. Jesus didn't back down with their fiery criticism and continued performing miracles like healing an old lady whose body was bent downwards twice and possessed by a demon. Jesus even backed it up with an Old Testament verse to show mercy and not offer sacrifices (Matthew 9:13, Micah 6:6-8). Jesus was like "Hey Pharisee, you work on the Sabbath Day if a new-born baby reaches it in eight days." Jesus then went on to say that the religious leaders had it all wrong by saying:
Then Jesus said to them, "The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath." (Mark 2:27)

The religious leaders at the time simply thought Jesus was healing like a doctor would and called it working. He was not working on the Sabbath Day, but only showing mercy to those who were afflicted with demon possession (Luke 5:41, Luke 13:10-14). We all have an awesome God to definitely worship! God is definitely part of the greatest historical miracles in the making ever recorded.
