Putting on the new wine skin

Sometimes God intends for us to legally drive on the opposite end of the road. It's really hard to go against mainstream ideas, especially if you are so people-oriented. We all want to get along with everyone, and be happy with whatever we are doing. It's tough to let go of your parent's expectations or your past goals, especially if they've been with you all your life. Jesus challenges us in the Scriptures to let go of whatever obstacles that keep us from having a relationship with him. The obstacle may even be a good or harmless thing that goes on your head or other busy tasks. Jesus states, "For any man who thirsts, let him come unto me and drink" (John 7:37). If you hear him knocking on your heart, then answer his call. By repenting and simply stating, "Jesus, come into my life" you have done more than many people will ever do. We live in the last days, and it's urgent to keep to God's foundation daily because someday, evangelism will stop. The enemy will perform miracles and do good deeds, only to mislead non-believers from entering God's kingdom.

As my faith grows more in Jesus everyday, I'm realizing that he has a subtle hold in everything we do. God doesn't play us like chess pieces on both sides of the board. God emphasizes that He needs our undivided attention and gives us full freedom to turn away from Him. Adam and Eve were created in the image of God, and before they were created in His delight, God took a risk by giving them the freedom to worship Him. Only by falling in the Garden of Eden, did they not remain in it for long. For if they did stay, then they would live forever in hiding from God. Out of their sin, we have all become infected in the flesh of sinning. Today's culture sees sin in some respects as tolerable behavior and will do its best to make it legit! Because of man's sins, they can't have a relationship with God on their own. Man needs forgiveness from God only by confessing that Jesus is Lord! Revelations 21-22 talks about a relationship with God, but I will be studying it soon.

Don't work it so hard. Keeping in mind that God created a resting day for all of us, it's not hard to see that we all need rest after God took the seventh day off from creating the universe and all life-forms!
