Interesting Talk on Dating

Work, lack of sleep, long time endeavors, and promising goals are things that can really go on a person's mind. For this post, I'm going to take on a guy's perspective about dating. I'm thinking that a significant number of the guys want to get married someday. Even though dating's not a crime, it seems like many adults are doing it to find and receive love or trying to engage in some fun. Viewing things in God's perspective, the Bible never encourages a nice lad to date and then eventually fornicate. The Scriptures instruct believers to view their bodies as holy temples who house a dwelling place for God. Lusting after a person in your heart is also a type of sin characterized with spiritual fornication. However, it's completely normal to have feelings for that special someone in your heart because that's just the beauty of God's grace. I would recommend that all believers should study God's word to know to draw the line of what's sinful and isn't. Many Christian books on dating, like Josh Harris who wrote "I Kissed Dating Goodbye", are excellent at describing our sinful nature in the area of dating.

Sex is viewed by God as an intimate act between husband and wife, not a consentual agreement of two adults. I speak only based on experiential learning and think a man who invests a lot of time on thinking about marriage, like the Apostle Paul did is actually honorable. Pastor Bob Coy said on a radio-stationed sermon that "Christian marriages can contain the best sex". It's not that surprising because in any marriage the element of trust, love, and mutual desire to caress the husband or wife is always intended by God. Pastor Chuck Smith commented, "A healthy marriage is the closest experience to heaven."

Without following after God's guidelines, a boy-girl relationship involving sex will be constantly tested no matter how good everything is to him. Satan can devise a scheme to make attractive girls lure a faithful man out of a marriage. It's important to note that the key to a healthy nation is a healthy family. It starts with a healthy spousal relationship. We all must repent daily of our sins and turn to God for His instruction and should be constantly reading the Bible to make sure we are not missing the mark. If a marriage or guy-girl relationship doesn't stand its ground, in some cases of broken relationships, even the ones I've viewed on television- it can be a dramatic life change and emotionally damaging. I'm not saying that we should scorn those who fall in relationships or marriages. Some things like nasty truths should probably be left out, if it's possible. I don't think working up on a fact someone is sensitive about and then trying to make it sarcastic will produce pretty results. I've experienced it firsthand, over two men, who were involved in a sexual relationship, but oh my, they tried to sue me when I gave them a feeling they weren't man enough to amend their broken relationships.
